Full Codec Support
The STMC-IP supports the advanced video codecs being deployed and planned for all IPTV services: H.264 and Windows Media 9 (VC1). A comprehensive mix of services can be enabled through the simultaneous use of both codecs within the single system.
IPTV
The STMC-IP supports IPTV broadcast, multicast and video on demand services for its advanced video codecs. Advanced buffering technology ensures excellent quality IPTV support over the public internet for Over-the-Top IPTV. Embedded scaling enables IPTV support for all services using bit rates from as low as 350kbps up to 20 Mbps.
Windows Media Services
Proven interoperability with Windows Media Services enables rapid deployment of an IPTV service using a Microsoft-based delivery platform.
Content Protection
Embedded Microsoft® DRM and AES decryption enables full support for IPTV conditional access systems.
Extensibility
The STMC-IP supports Fusion Toolkit, a full development environment, including Linux APIs and JavaScript extensions for partner customisation. CompleteTV’s unique rapid hardware enhancement services ensure the STMC is also the industry’s leading OEM development platform for customised products.
Upgrades
The STMC-IP supports field upgrades of codecs, operating system and middleware. Improvements to your service and future functional extensions to codecs can be downloaded using the secure CTV update services.
Add-Ons
The STMC-IP contains a USB 2.0 interface enabling additional peripherals to be added, thus extending the capabilities of the system. Keyboard and hard drives enable the STMC-IP to browse the internet and record/download content locally.
